The perfect accessory for your MiniLoo - The Kildwick MiniLoo seat cushion
Forget handbags, shoes and jewellery! The ultimate fashion accessory for you and your MiniLoo is the soft, exquisite, yet hard-wearing Kildwick cushion!
We’ve noted that our MiniLoo often doubles up as an additional seat – for instance in motorhomes, while camping (including next to the campfire) or during other leisure activities. What it lacks is comfortable upholstery so that sitting down doesn’t quickly become a pain in the you-know-what! But with this high-quality cushion, you can transform the appearance of your dry toilet into a snazzy designer seat. On seeing this chic cushion in combination with our shapely wooden box, no one will ever dream that you’re actually sitting on your composting toilet!
This seat cushion with its perfect fit has been designed especially for our smallest camping toilet, the MiniLoo, and is sewn by hand in Berlin.
All products have to be durable and robust if they’re to withstand the challenges of everyday life, not to mention various outdoor activities. That’s why Kildwick’s comfortable cushion is made from two-ply felt 3mm thick. The wool felt we use is a high-quality natural product made out of 100% finest new wool (merino).
Felt has been prized for centuries for its excellent properties. For example, it’s heat-resistant up to 200°C and doesn’t even burn when directly exposed to flames. Another advantage of felt is that it’s naturally dirt and water repellent. Since water, coffee and other liquids roll off the surface, drops of liquid can easily be shaken off.
What’s more, most soiling can be effortlessly removed with a sponge and soapy water. And if something a little more solid has dirtied your cushion, just leave it to dry for a while and then carefully brush it off. Only in the case of really heavy soiling do we recommend taking your cushion to the cleaners.
Felt is also very resistant to the formation of wrinkles and knots. Therefore, there’s no need to worry about unpleasant ‘pilling’. Being a purely natural product, felt made from pure new sheep’s wool doesn’t contain any harmful substances or solvents that could be released into the atmosphere. On the contrary: felt has the ability to filter unwanted odours and substances (e.g. formaldehyde) out of the air and bind them in the fabric. Thanks to these environmentally friendly properties, it’s ideal for use in living areas. The stuffing consists of soft yet extremely resilient PU foam. Its structure means the cushion always returns to its original shape even after someone has sat on it for a long time.
In a nutshell, as well as looking good and being extremely durable, felt is great for the environment. And if, after many happy years together, you finally decide to get rid of your cushion, it can even be composted.
The Kildwick cushion is available in two attractive colour combinations: grey paired with cheerful Kildwick green, or grey and black.
The dimensions of your new seating companion are:
- Length, width, height: 39.0cm × 32.5cm × 3.0cm
The rounded corners complete the picture, making for a perfect equation: MiniLoo + Kildwick cushion = A perfect match!
