The FreeLoo kit is the only DIY composting toilet where you build your own individual outside frame – while still using the original high quality Kildwick® components that have proven themselves thousands of times over. The urine separator, urine container and solids tank come from Kildwick. Everything else comes from your idea.

Whether you want to use wood, bamboo, plywood or an entirely different material – the FreeLoo gives you the freedom to build your composting toilet exactly the way you want, to suit your project perfectly. You decide on shape, colour and dimensions. We supply the core components that really matter.
The urine diverter is made from 4 mm ABS plastic, ergonomically shaped, easy to clean and available in white or black – so it fits seamlessly into your design. With the included cutting template, you can cut the opening in the wood with precision. Down to the millimetre, first time round.
Three sizes. Maximum planning freedom.
The FreeLoo is available in three sizes – S, M and L. The difference lies in the volume of the solid tanks and liquid containers:
- FreeLoo S – ideal for compact builds with limited space
- FreeLoo M – the most versatile option for vans, buses and garden rooms
- FreeLoo L – with the largest containers for extended off-grid use
You then choose your urine separator: Compact, Classic or Classic XL. The internal dimensions are identical – the difference lies in the outer geometry and flexibility during installation. All measurements and cutting templates are included.
