Toilet paper ‘bunting’ left in the woods is a thing of the past with Kildwick’s HappyLoo!
What’s a HappyLoo?
The HappyLoo is a lightweight portable dry toilet made from cardboard which has been specially designed for use outdoors. The HappyLoo comes in a 10cm tall package which can be folded into a comfortable, fully-fledged toilet with a seat height of 43cm. And since it comes from Kildwick, everything’s included! The HappyLoo therefore comes with compostable bags, straw pellets and cover material.
An all-in-one solution!
Many of you know our practical composting toilets – urine-diverting dry loos which reliably separate liquids and solids. The Kildwick HappyLoo is also a composting toilet, but without separation: instead, urine and faeces go into the same bag together. To ensure the whole business is kept convenient, this practical cardboard loo works with two types of cover material. The extremely absorbent straw pellets take care of the urine, soaking up the liquid within a few minutes. Meanwhile, the tried and tested Miscanthus biomass material removes moisture from the solids, binds odours, and hides excreta naturally.
When you’re done, take out the bag, tie a knot in it, throw it in the nearest bin (or on a compost heap), fold up your HappyLoo – and that’s it until next time. Whenever you feel the need, just sneak off into the bushes with your HappyLoo!
When your mobile cardboard toilet finally reaches the end of its working life, you can use it as a firelighter for a campfire, throw it away with your waste paper, or even compost it.
Thanks to Kildwick toilet solutions, it’s never been so easy to go to the loo without soiling the environment!
Where can I use the HappyLoo?
For example, when camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing, travelling or at festivals – in fact, anywhere you need a light mobile toilet. The HappyLoo can be set up and ready to use in next to no time – you don’t have to be an origami expert!
