You can unfold this stable composting toilet, which is made of cardboard, in no time. Thus, the HappyLoo makes your on-the-go life a whole lot easier and more independent.

Ready at all times

As it weighs just 1.7 kg (3.8 lbs) and measures 42 x 37 x 9 cm (16.5 x 14.6 x 3.5 in), this portable solution is easy to take with you. You can (un)fold it at least 10 times.

Unfolded it has a size of 36 × 34 × 42 cm (14.2 × 13.4 × 16.5 in). The seat height is 41.5 cm (16.3 in), which is almost as high as a conventional toilet. Therefore, sitting on it is remarkably comfortable. The loo offers absolute stability, supporting up to 120 kg (265 lbs). This makes it the perfect travel companion, no matter the type of adventure.

Contents of the kit

The kit for your mobile composting toilet contains everything you need to go to the toilet. Except for toilet paper. Simply buy the one you prefer and you’re all set.

The kit includes:

• Box with lid and toilet seat made of stable cardboard
• Three compostable bags of 30 liters (7.9 gal.) each
• 1 liter (0.3 gal.) of straw pellets
• 1 liter (0.3 gal.) of miscanthus
• Cotton cord to hang the toilet paper

How to use your HappyLoo

All you need to do before using your composting toilet is to:

1. unfold it
2. line the integrated cardboard bucket with one of the compostable bags
3. place a handful of straw pellets (for the urine) in it

If you have to poop, also add some miscanthus litter to help the solids dry. After going number 2, again add some more miscanthus. The cover material absorbs the moisture of the liquid and solid waste, thus binding any odors. You can throw the toilet paper (which is held by a cotton cord) into the bag as well.

If you want to keep the HappyLoo unfolded, we recommend that you add one third of the straw pellets per compostable bag before using it. They are particularly absorbent, 1 liter (0.3 gal.) of straw pellets can bind 4–5 liters (1.1–1.3 gal.) of urine. Thus, you don’t have to worry about bad smells.

To extend the life of your HappyLoo, please ensure that it doesn’t get wet. The cardboard is not made to withstand rain or moist surfaces.

Easy disposal of the HappyLoo

All components of the HappyLoo are completely eco-friendly, recyclable or compostable. Take out the compostable bag, knot it and simply throw it in the nearest garbage can for residual waste. If you have your own compost pile, you can also choose to compost it. It will decompose completely and overtime turn into useful humus. You can dispose of the cardboard in a cardboard recycling bin. In places where it is allowed, you can also use it to light a campfire.

However, the HappyLoo is really stable. If you use it carefully, you can (un)fold it way more than 10 times. We therefore offer a convenient refill set so that you can use your HappyLoo even longer.
